The following information has been provided by Herefordshire Council
A road closure will be in place on the B4224, between the junction with the A449 and the B4225, to allow Western Power Distribution to carry out necessary electrical works. The closure will be in place from Monday 28th February 2022, to (and including) Monday 7th March 2022 and the road will be closed for 24 hours each day. Unfortunately due to the nature of the works, it would not be safe for WPD to work under a lane closure or any other traffic management.
The fully signed diversion route for cars will be via the B4225 (Slip Road) / A449 and vice versa. HGVs should continue on the A449 and use Travellers Rest roundabout to turn around and travel back along the A449, before turning off via the B4225 and onto the B4224. We will ensure that the diversion route for both cars and HGVs is well signposted.
Once WPD have completed their works, we will be able to fully re-open the road and the temporary traffic lights at the junction will be removed.
There will be no road closure on the A449 – this road will be open (under temporary traffic lights) for those wishing to travel between Ledbury and Ross-on-Wye
