Cancelled – Parish Council Meeting on Wednesday 24th July will be re-scheduled

The scheduled parish council meeting has been cancelled as there were insufficient councillors available to be quorate.  A new meeting date will be advised shortly.  The parsih council apologises for any inconvenience.

C24/61 Highways / Footpaths / Greenspaces / Environment (10 minutes)
a) To consider and agree any urgent new highway/footpath issues to be reported to BBLP/HC.
b) PRoW maintenance funding from HC – Clerk to update on matters passed to HC for consideration.
c) PRoW FY10 – council to consider request from How Caple PC Clerk (they have recently cleared their section of the path)
d) PRoW resident correspondence – council to consider request regarding path behind The Grove (BA26?)
e) Junction at Oak House Nursery – council to response from nursery and agree next steps.
f) Road cleaning – council to consider suggestion from resident that the Lengthsman should be paid to clean the roads with a view to reducing the need to clear the drains and gulleys.
g) To consider update on tasks for the Lengthsman and agree any actions.

C24/63 Light Pollution – Council to consider update from Clerk following formal complaint to HC regarding the PC’s inability to obtain useful advice, or even a useful contact point for advice on how to deal with light pollution issues, and agree any necessary next steps.

C24/65 Parish Council Summit – Council to receive update from Cllr. Diggle.

C24/66 Correspondence – general – council to consider and agree actions if appropriate
a) Herefordshire Council –
i. various updates relating to roads, services and HC staffing.
ii. Seasonal grass cutting – advice that this will be carried out in line with last years requests as PC level but that if any PC wants additional areas added to the list for special attention these should be advised ready for next year.
b) National Highways – notification of works on the M50 Westbound in August
Phase 1 – We’ll work overnight on 6, 7 and 8 August 2024, between 9pm and 6am. We’ll install a full westbound closure from M5 junction 8 to M50 junction 1.
Phase 2 – We’ll work overnight from 9 August to 19 August 2024, Monday to Friday, between 9pm and 6am. We’ll install a full westbound closure from M50 junction 2 to A449 Travellers Rest roundabout.
c) PKF Littlejohn – confirmation of receipt of the AGAR documents for the external audit
d) Ron Bailey (Parliamentary researcher for Lord Foster) – Safety of Lithium Batteries and e-bikes and scooters – asking for the PC to support the campaign on the safety of lithium batteries and their disposal
